How do I order coffee online from Blended Bean Coffee?

Simply visit our Shop Page and select your preferred premium coffee beans. We have a weekly production cycle and ship fresh coffee beans directly to you.

Do you have a coffee club or subscription?

We have a simple coffee subscription program where you just get a discount for more signing up. We do not have a club or anything like that where any content or community is held behind a pay wall.

Can I pick up my coffee locally in Cincinnati?

Yes! If you’re in our area, we offer local pickup options at select farmers markets and events. Follow our social channels for details on our next location.

Do you ship internationally?

At the moment, we only offer shipping within the continental United States. We will work on expanding our coffee delivery options in the future if there is demand for it.

Storage & Shelf Life

How long do fresh coffee beans stay good?

Freshly roasted coffee beans are best consumed within 4 weeks of roasting for peak flavor. Store them properly to maintain freshness. After this time, the coffee does not go bad, but there is a decline in quality after this time.

Does coffee go bad?

While coffee doesn’t expire like perishable foods, it loses its flavor over time. If you don't plan on enjoying your coffee very quickly, avoid pre-ground coffee and opt for whole beans for longer-lasting freshness.

Should I put my coffee in the fridge or freezer?

We wouldn't recommend it. Studies have shown that it can keep coffee fresher for longer, but there is a chance of damaging the coffee with ice crystals or other food in storage affecting the flavor.

Sustainability & Sourcing

Where does Blended Bean Coffee source its beans?

We prioritize ethically sourced, premium arabica beans from sustainable farms. Each blend highlights unique flavors from different coffee-growing regions. We always try to be upfront about where our coffee comes from so you can find more details about a particular blend's beans on the product page.

Is Blended Bean Coffee organic?

While we source high-quality, ethically grown coffee, not all farms carry organic certification. However, our focus is on transparency and sustainable sourcing practices.

How does Blended Bean Coffee support sustainability?

We prioritize responsible sourcing, small-batch roasting to reduce waste, and are members of 1% for the Planet. We are by no means a perfect company, but we try to always make the sustainable choice if there is one.

Roast Levels & Brewing

What is the difference between light, medium, and dark roast coffee?

To over simply...

Light Roast: Bright acidity, floral and fruity flavors.

Medium Roast: Balanced acidity and body, with caramel and chocolate notes.

Dark Roast: Bold, smoky flavors with a heavier body and lower acidity.

What roast level is best for espresso?

Medium to dark roasts are commonly used for espresso, as they create a rich, full-bodied shot with deep caramelized flavors. We have a deep love for these medium to dark roasts and try to dial in the best blends possible because we feel as if it is a very neglected part of the specialty coffee experience.

How do I brew the best coffee at home?

Ou, yeah there is way more to this than can answered in a FAQ section... Um, experiment with different brew methods until you find one you like and then find a specific guide on how to do that the best you can. Oh! But of course use Blended Bean Coffee!

Generally, what size grid should I use?

Coarse: French press, cold brew

Medium: Drip coffee, AeroPress

Fine: Espresso, Moka pot

We do both a Medium and a fine by default, but if you have any specific requests about a particular grind setting, let us know and we will help see what we can do.
