We are Blended Bean Coffee, a micro coffee roastery based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Our company is comprised of the husband and wife duo of Tyler and Jenna Pawlak.

A History of Blending Flavors

With backgrounds in the alcohol industry—both in retail and service—we’ve spent years studying flavors, balance, and the art of blending. Our love of mixology and recipe development has given us a deep understanding of how flavors work together, and we bring that same passion into coffee. By using our palates and experience, we’re shaping new coffee experiences that go beyond a single bean or region.

A lot of attention in the specialty coffee world is given to single-origin and limited-release coffees—and while those are beautiful expressions of coffee, we believe the everyday coffee drinker is looking for something more curated, balanced, and consistent. Our goal is to provide the best version of that experience through carefully crafted blends that highlight the best characteristics of coffee.

Our Vision: From Roastery to Community Hub

Our long-term goal is to open a physical café—a space where people can gather, connect, and experience great coffee firsthand. Starting as a small-batch roastery allows us to perfect our craft, build a strong foundation, and ensure that when we open a café, we’re offering the best possible product and experience.

We love our Cincinnati community and have always been drawn to becoming a bigger part of it. Whether it’s through farmers markets, local collaborations, or a future café space, we’re excited to grow, interact, and share our love of great coffee with the people around us.

We love experimenting with different bean profiles, roast levels, and regional characteristics to create something greater than the sum of its parts. It’s not just about combining beans—it’s about crafting an experience.

We also embrace the full roast spectrum. While light roasts dominate specialty coffee, we know that a thoughtfully developed darker roast can be just as complex and satisfying. Some in the coffee world treat roasting like steak—believing anything beyond a “medium-rare” roast is a mistake. We take a different approach: a well-crafted dark roast should be like a slow-braised dish—rich, layered, and full of depth.
