
Mother's Day 2025 Coffee with Honey Cinnamon Whipped Cream

For Mother's Day 2025, give the Mom you love something that will warm their heart and their belly! Nothing says the warmth of a mother's embrace quite like the warming spice of cinnamon mixed with the natural sweetness of honey. After all, I'm sure the Queen Bee gets a lot of attention on Mother's Day since she has so many kids.
This recipe is great using a Moka Pot, like we did, but it is just as good with a good shot of espresso as well. Feel free to tinker and mess with the ratios to make it perfectly fit your desires.
Beans
When testing this recipe, we used a french roast coffee, which would qualify as a darker roast of coffee. If you want to know more about how dark and medium roasts compare to each other, follow this link and get some learning on!
Ingredients
- 4oz of Strong Coffee
- 1/2 Tbsp Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Half & Half
- 1/2 Tbsp Honey
- Dash of Cinnamon
Process
- Brew the coffee with your preferred method. The sweetness that we've dialed in is for coffee brewed with a Moka Pot. If you don't have a Moka Pot, you could also consider an immersion style brew (like a French Press) with a longer extraction time with more grounds.
- In the serving glass, use a hand frother or whisk to blend together the half & half with the sugar.
- Once completely mixed, add the honey and cinnamon and whip to your desired froth level.
- Pour the coffee directly into the serving glass, creating a creamy bottom layer of coffee with a thick, fluffy head on top.
- Before serving, pour the extra coffee from the brew in a spare glass and quickly shoot it (you might need that energy for the kids later)!
- Serve hot with a handmade card and a terribly made breakfast.
